DescriptionFor those who don't know, Lily Renee was born in May of 1921 and was one of the earliest women in comics, starting in the 1940s. Even more amazing, is her life story -- at 14, she escaped from Nazi-occupied Vienna (via a Kindertransport to England) and later moved to the USA when she learned her parents had gotten out as well and made it to America.
