Description

Recreation by Dave Dorman (2003) of his late '80s cover painting for "The Greatest Batman Stories Ever Told" hardcover. 24" x 16" oil painting. The addition of the Joker gargoyle (vs. a bird gargoyle) and Batsignal (vs. the moon) were changes requested of artist. Since the original painting was published it has been one of my favorite images of Batman. This was my very first painted commission and I truly appreciate the amazing artwork created by modern master - Dave Dorman!

I have to agree, one of my favorite images of Batman as well. And I love that Joker gargoyle, nice touch!
