Kubert was my favorite Tarzan artist and this is a superb example.

My goodness. I don't know how I missed this one. Wonderful. If there ever was a Kubert museum piece, this is it. There is only one thing wrong with it... it is not in my collection. Yet:)

Wow! What a cool Joe Kubert Tarzan splash! Tarzan has never looked tougher. And the ape he's fighting looks tougher than him! Joe Kubert was always at his best in action-packed scenes like this one. And amazingly, he also did all his own inks and he's one of the best with a brush ever. Great pick-up, congrats!

You just can't get much more Kubert-y than this. Quintessential Kubert. I always love pages with old paste-ups. It shows the years and adds to the feel of the piece.
