Nice! Liked this book when it came out back then. Good clean & sharp line work.

Wow. The emotion of this page is perfectly poignant. From the first panel showing what is at risk for the main character, to the last panel featuring Magnus and his emotions knowing the cost of the conflict, this page tells a strong story. The lead up to the final panel is great, showing Magnus doing what he does best. But his best may not be enough this time.

I don't remember this issue, but will now have to go back and find it in one of my short boxes. I doubt this is worth stating, but please let me know if you ever decide to part with this one. It is great. And knowing Layton inked this puts it over the edge of already being super cool.
