Description

During pre-production for the movie, Vin Diesel was working on physically preparing for the role. He asked the director, Dave Wilson, and I to send him some Bloodshot cover art printed at poster size for the walls of his gym. We asked the incredible Lewis LaRosa to build an additional custom piece depicting Vin as Bloodshot in all his menacing physical glory. The image ultimately became the first official public depiction of Vin as Bloodshot.

The piece was also used as the cover to a variant edition of Bloodshot Salvation #12. Only one copy was ever printed. That copy was auctioned off during the Game4Paul Fundraiser with proceeds going to Paul Walker's Reach Out WorldWide foundation who provide relief in the wake of natural disasters.

Lewis LaRosa is such an incredible artist. He's a big asset for Valiant me thinks. This piece has a phenomenal likeness to Vin Diesel, before, I assume, costume and makeup test.

He's not at Valiant anymore. He's at BAD IDEA now!
