DescriptionA commission by Chris Samnee. We took a couple ideas and combined them into this piece. One of them was Batman protecting or rescuing a small child. The other was Batman fighting the Joker, mostly because at the time the Dark Knight was coming out on DVD and plenty of TV ads were featuring the laughing madman. So I asked Chris if we could have Bats protecting the child from the Joker and MR J. trying to tempt the boy out from behind Batman. Chris came up with a suspenseful cover worthy image and I highly recommend him for commission work. Click Here For Chris's BlogOh and DC get this guy on a BATMAN project now! Social/Sharing |

I'm jealous, you must be the reason he's always too busy to take on new commissions, lol. Congrats on a great piece.

A terrific balance of creepy Joker and protective Batman... fantastic. (Though I think only in Gotham would the City Council put up a street sign for "Crime Alley" :) )

I agree that this masterpiece by Samnee is cover worthy, and I would love to see Chris pencilling a few issues of Batman or Daredevil.

Recently discovered Chris through his work on Agents for Atlas and I think he's got the goods. He did a great job on this piece. Congrats.
