DescriptionI’ve been searching for a Longshot page for years. I once owned a page from issue #1, but as I learned more about Art Adams’ artistic evolution throughout the series, I gravitated toward wanting a piece from later issues. So, I let that page go.Did I make the right call? Was it a mistake? These questions lingered as the years passed, with new pages surfacing only rarely. A few times, I tried to snag one but was beaten by friends on similar quests—mere seconds too late. Finally, a page from issue #5 appeared, and I jumped on it. It wasn’t packed with action, but it featured plenty of Longshot and filled the void. Timing, as always, wasn’t ideal, so I arranged a three-month payment plan. Fast forward to the final payment—on that very day, my friend Amir messaged me about this page, the one you see here. It was the page I’d been dreaming of. Suddenly, I was in a bind—having just finished paying for one page, I now had to figure out how to afford this one. While I liked the first page, I loved this one. To make it work, I’d need to sell the other page to fund this one. Here’s where the Great Comic Art God stepped in: I contacted the seller of the first page, hoping to expedite delivery. He was traveling and couldn’t ship for weeks. Sensing my urgency, he graciously offered a full refund. I was blown away. I gladly covered the PayPal fees for the currency exchange and return, freeing up the funds to pay for this page just in time for an NYCC 2024 pickup. Now, about this piece: the bond between Longshot and Pup has always been a poignant thread in the series—a journey from beloved companion to fearsome adversary. This page captures their climactic confrontation, where Longshot must take Pup down in the most explosive way imaginable. And as a bonus, Doctor Strange graces the page in stunning fashion. I can’t think of a more ideal piece to own, one that embodies such a pivotal moment in the series. Huge thanks to Amir for being a great friend and helping make this happen. Closing out the year strong with this major milestone! Social/Sharing |

Epic! From the character appearances to the 5 star panel layout, this is a gorgeous interior. The last panel goes so hard it isn't funny. Huge congrats Carl!

I think Arthur Adams was having fun making Longshot use that rubber spatula as the weapon! The layout is awesome and the onomatopoeia is straight out of a Walt Simonson book!

Loved all the Doctor Strange pages from issues #5 & 6. Great panel here. And some great shots of Pup, a character that Arthur just seemed to have fun drawing.

Wow! What a killer page from Longshot #5! Everything about this page was extraordinary! Starting with the unique shape of the panels. then to Doctor Strange's advice to lance the festering sore, to Gog'n Mgog's refusal to believe Longshot would kill him, to Longshot's own declaration of freedom, it all built up to the scene of Longshot throwing the dagger which destroys Gog'n Mgog and frees him. Love that final panel as the explosion goes off, with the tiny figues of Strange and Longshot silhouetted by the blast. What a wonderful page from a wonderful story. Huge congrats ,Carl!
