Description

Georgi was a mid century artist who did a ton of work for magazines and advertising. This piece is no doubt a story illustration. One of the things I love about his work is the vibrant colors (done with pastels) and his impressionistic style. The Girl is not bad either. On a side note - does anyone else think the gentleman looks a bit like a young Johnny Carson?

NOTE: Thanks to Fred W here on CAF, I have learned that this piece is actually a pelim for a story illustration called Executive Decision published in the Post on July 16 1960. As much as this prelim glows, its incredible to see the final and how the colors on that one really shine. Thanks again Fred!

It DOES look like Johnny Carson interviewing a Hollywood babe! One of the the greatest mid 20th century artists!
