DescriptionAfter long consideration, I've come to the conclusion that I need to downgrade from this hobby in a significant way and re-focus on a handful of favorite artists. Although I love it, there's just no legitimate reason I need to hold hundreds of pieces of comic art.**THIS IS NOT A FIRE SALE** I plan to offload a large portion of my collection outside of the artists I've decided to focus on collecting (Kirby, Moebius, Nino, Pope, Bertram, DWJ). My main source will be heritage where I'm satisfied with the deal I have. I'm announcing here in case any good collector has had their eyes on something and maybe it would fit nicely in their collection (it would be nice to know where some of these pieces ended up). I have some great and significant pieces as well as average pieces. I will be looking for FMV for what I have and of course have what I think I would get at auction in mind. Please do not be offended if I don't respond to all offers as I'll probably be receiving many. But, it's basically all available if you offer the right #. Social/Sharing |

Hi Jason. Congratulations on coming to this descision. On the one hand, it always makes me sad to see collectors I like stop collecting. But on the other hand, I've been trying to break the addiction myself for years and although I'm slowly making headway, I'm still not quite at the stage you are at yet. Also, I've touched upon this topic on my YouTube channel before, and have stated that I've always firmly believed that everyone in the hobby should have an exit strategy. Everyone's reasons will be different, but "Why should I own hundreds of pieces of art and have so much of my money tied up?" is absolutely as good a reason as any, and a question I've asked myself several times. Knowing how difficult it has been for me trying to get to the point you're at now, is precisely why I congratulate you. I admire that you've gotten to this point, even though I'm sure it was psychologically tough to do so. I also have to commend you for sticking to your beliefs and doing whatever was necessary to get yourself to this step of the process. Best of luck to you with your sales over the next couple of years!

You should decide on the core pieces you'll keep going forward and may the market bring you the the fruits of the many hours spent just with the obsession part of the hobby.
