DescriptionIf you were collecting in the 90s you remember the Marvel Masterpiece card set- and the Joe Jusko paintings on those cards.. it was like the comic world took a step up at that point. Well this isn’t a Masterpiece card but from a slightly later set.. Fleer Ultra 1996 X-Men:Wolverine set. And believe it or not it’s better! Only a couple years later and Joe had refined his style just a bit to be a more finished painter.. and the colors are screaming on this in person and the Beats leaping out of the painting! Extremely happy to be able to add this to the collection! Thank you to my friend for letting this go!Social/Sharing |

Fantastic! The Jusko card art takes me right back to the 90's!

Joe did some amazing pieces for those card sets. This one's a beauty (even for a Beast).

Such great nostalgia, remember the card series well and so fun to see the paintings on here. Congrats on this find.

Even though Card art was like for special teams duty for the bullpen, this is a great kick out pose for Beast. Its like he's kicking seeds that are higher in the air, right out of the picture.

Wow! Nostalgia on full power. I think I had this card indeed. Dr Hank McCoy has to to practically be alive seeing this in person. Congrats!

I was just marveling at the Jusko Masterpiece card set with my son yesterday!
Jusko was a 'Beast' being able to knock out SO many paintings SO quickly. As you say, this later piece was a bit more refined, and it shows his uncanny ability to constantly improve his painting skills. Congrats Jay!

What a fun card! It doesn't matter if it's not part of the Marvel Masterpiece set, it's a Joe Jusko! I'm glad Joe took him out of the lab, where Beast is typically portrayed in card art, for some fresh air.

With such excessive thigh gap, shouldn't this be labelled as NSFW? C'mon Jason, a little warning would be nice (I am sure Fisch agrees). Great piece - agreed about the color - it really pops.

Congrats! I used to own this piece around 10 years ago and I can attest to the fact these colors are Super Vibrant in person! Great piece!

Even the Russian judge would give that move a 10. Just stick the dismount! Sick, sick piece. The color, detail, and pose, are excellent. Even the lion head is cool. It's still a Marvel Masterpiece. :) Congrats!

A bright, shining example of the essential need to wear some sort of underpants.

Fabulous full-figure Beast painging! I always liked the fuzzy blue Beast, and this really captures that look. One of the best FBB (Fuzzy Blue Beast) pieces I've seen.

So impressed with this. The fact that it's all blues on Beast makes it that much more impressive in terms of Jusko's execution. Love it. Congrats!
