I've been going to NYCC for almost as long as I've been collecting comic art, and this year is the first show I am missing in quite a while. I'm starting to have some serious FOMO about it, particularly after getting a highly amusing FaceTime call yesterday from some good friends.

NYCC was probably also the first time I noticed a distinguished, non-Albert, gentleman at the Albert Moy booth. Over the years I would share an occasional word with this person and I spent a bit more time with him this past SDCC.

Imagine my utter surprise, then, to receive an unprompted parcel from this fine patron of the arts following SDCC. Beyond impeccable taste in art, this man has the audacity to be a gifted artist in his own right! I love this take on Elsa Lanchester as everyone's favorite homebrewed babe! The multiple tones, confident lines, and striking composition make this a Halloween treat beyond compare. So, if you're fortunate enough to be at NYCC this week, stop by the Moy's and say hi. If you make a purchase, don't forget to collect your free kiss from the proprietor!

I believe it was my comment on Lance's posting of this particular piece on Instagram that prompted him to send me the Frankenstein/Dracula! So AWESOME, both the gentleman AND the art!
