Description
I've really enjoyed the wide-aspect work that John has been doing recently. He did a STUNNING Ghost Rider piece for my boi Choccy S.

John's experimenting with various aspect of light and brightness, layering zip like a madman to create beautifully haunting moments. From a short list of topics, John came up with this great concept from Lord of the Rings. I appreciate that his fandom goes deep enough to consider this particular moment, and John's exaggeration of scale gives even more weight to the threat against our band of lunchtime buddies.

There are thoughtful details throughout, like the fact that the Nazgûl don't cast reflections in the water.

You can find John and his myriad of projects through his Instagram and Patreon.

Check out the additional images for some process shots.

Wow, you have to blow this one up and look at the details. I hardly even noticed the far right figure in the background. Very cool.

congrats M.L. this is a super illustration by John. the man is so talented and everyone should get something done by him. i love the cresent moon only gives light to the hobits on the raft I guess it also represents light when darkness threatens to consume all.

Extraordinary scene.  Love how imposing the Nazgûl appears, compared to the Hobbits.  And the rippled reflection in the water is stunning.  Very cool piece, congrats.

Have you by chane commissioned before? The original subject selection in regards to the artist's specific style for these commissions works extremely well. The end result is stunning and leaves fellow collectors with a feeling of wanting. Surely this is a one and done example at this caliber. I mean, it's not like you got three of them or anything like that.
