Description

Large format painting created for the 3rd US Steel book created by Syd Mead, "Innovations." This particular painting was one of the first Syd Mead paintings I had ever seen as a kid as a small black and white image in a "how to draw" book. Surprised to come across this piece last year for sale and snatched it up. Likely never framed, I naturally had to surround it with stainless steel. Many of the paintings during this period by Syd used a marker dye bleed background. Somewhat unusually large in scale compared to most of the other paintings I've seen.
