DescriptionI finally got my grubby little fingers on a New Frontier piece. And man what a great piece! New Frontier continues to be one of my very favorites of all time. Darwyn’s art and writing for the story was just stellar. And it was THE book that drove my interest in the DC universe, and furthered my interest in comics of yesteryear in general. The way Darwyn includes so many golden age characters into the narrative in a way that works so well, and generates real emotional bonds to the reader is just genius! The illustration itself is just friggin awesome. It features Kirby’s Challengers of the Unknown fighting the monstrous robot Ultivac, who is reaching up through the floor below them in a bid to rain down (up) destruction upon our heroes. He really just did a fantastic job in capturing the sheer chaos and drama of the situation in this one image. I am thrilled to have it in my art collection. Hope you guys enjoy seeing it. I am so very glad I got to see this out of the frame and right in front of my eyes Keith. Glad I reached out before Heroes and thanks for bringing it out before it went behind glass!

It's such a cool piece! I'm glad I decided to dig deep even when I had that Ditko on the line... I would have regretted not getting this one.
