Merian is haunted by a deep anguish towards everything that grows from the earth, a terror linked to the disturbing stories that her father, Barton Darke, told her as a child: stories of strange creatures, hidden treasures and the living dead. This nightmare became reality when Barton mysteriously disappeared, swallowed up by the field of the dead. Having moved to London, Merian had tried to leave everything behind, but now, with the help of Dylan Dog, she will have to face those buried secrets and the shadows that continue to torment her.

Merian � perseguitata da un'angoscia profonda verso tutto ci� che cresce dalla terra, un terrore legato ai racconti inquietanti che suo padre, Barton Darke, le narrava da bambina: storie di creature strane, tesori nascosti e morti viventi. Questo incubo � divenuto realt� quando Barton � misteriosamente scomparso, inghiottito dal campo dei morti. Trasferitasi a Londra, Merian aveva provato a lasciarsi tutto alle spalle, ma ora, con l'aiuto di Dylan Dog, dovr� affrontare quei segreti sepolti e le ombre che continuano a tormentarla.

Echoes with darkness with Roi's haunting mood and cold emotions! Those waves of water look so still as you linger on each panel admiring Roi's work.

It's true, that black, still, dark and so materic sea of Roi and the uncertain lines of the mountains that blend with those of the clouds on the horizon create a restless and fear atmosphere perfect for the story and its style.
