Description

Letkeman created Zor and drew every page of the Zor stories.

Referred to as a "paleolithic man," Zor the Mighty protected the jungle like Ka-Zar and Tarzan. Sadly, from what I've learned, the poor fellow at some point in his comic life fell in love with a woman called Dela Parker. She and Zor traveled to the lost City of Koz and joined the rebellion against its evil Emperor Manuf. Manuf. Eventually they won the revolution but Manuf captured Dela. When Zor went to rescue her, she ended up jumping into the path of an acid pellet aimed at Zor and died in his arms. Zor was not even able to avenge her, for the soldier who shot her was immediately strangled by a carnivorous plant. A grief-stricken Zor left Dela buried in Koz and moved on to face other "startling adventures."
