Description

Exquisite layout and design sense, all serving to propel the story forward... Plus heaps of the visual dynamicism and layout flair that Mr. Perez’s work is so rightly known to include (including a moment that just may out-Krakle Kirby! :) ). From a character perspective, I love the funny, cool informality of panel 5, where Ms. Marvel and Iron Man react to being shot out of the sky with a blasé unconcern - hair gently blowing in the wind - and spring a ‘rope-a-dope’ on their attackers.

That top panel gives me strong Flash Gordon vibes. Fun page layout, and excellent work by Perez.

What a stunning George Perez Avengers page!!! First we see a line of large birds carrying armed men. Next Iron Man and Ms. Marvel fly up to intercept them. Then they are attacked by the Men on the Birds. Finally Iron Man blasts them with his gunlets' repulsor rays. Beautifully drawen page. Love that top borderless panel with the attackers on birds. Fabulous detailing in the central panels. And then a simple silhouetted Iron Man Hand blasting the birds. Exquisite storytelling by one of the greatest comic artists ever. Serious congrats, great pick-up!
