Description

This is the second of two Moon Knight sketches I got from Bill. At the Sci-Fi Expo in Dallas, February 8-9, 2014, I was handling Brian Stelfreeze's art sales and sketch list. Our table was next to Bill Sienkiewicz. I had met Bill many times over the years, but never from this side of the table (so to speak). Bill, of course, is good friends with both Brian and Cully Hamner (whose table was next to Brian), so there was a lot of conversation going on between them. Bill treated me like I was one of the guys, including me in many conversations, asking me a lot about myself, and being an overall class act. On Sunday, he was trying to do a Moon Knight Sketch, and it wasn't turning out like he wanted it to. There were two false starts before he got one that he liked. I casually said to him, "Hey Bill, if you're going to just throw those away, I'll give them a home." He said sure, added a few extra lines, and signed them. To him they were just throw-aways, to me they are memories of a great weekend. Thanks Bill!
