Descriptionon the one hand the red lines are interesting on the other hand they are a distraction. Given today's prices I'll never own the final published drawing so I'll live with the linesSocial/Sharing |

I don't think the lines look bad, sort of interesting imo.

My sentiments exactly, George. It's like that Juliet Jones daily you sold me a few years ago. While most people would have found the inscription and signature on the Juliet's cheek in the middle panel closeup distracting, I surprisingly found that it did not pull my eye away immediately. My eye still went to the face overall, with the inscription and signature in my peripheral vision. So while it qualifies as "distracting" to some degree, it isn't enough to bother me!

I ma yplay with a red filter just for fu nt osee how it looks without the lines and to ahve the option to have it both ways

Schultz is great. Its an interesting piece of artwork to have, showing the artists method. The red lines are better than having something like an ugly black marker, John Byrne signature in the middle of an expensive page in the most distracting areas.

Great illustration, great to see the process. Coincidentally enough the finished drawing is on a well known dealer's site at the mo! Love this though
