Description

This stunning pin-up is a homage to Daredevil #7 which marked the first time DD wore his red costume and is one of my all time favorite issues. The theme of Matt going up against impossible odds (especially against Namor underwater) is showcased dramatically here. It helps that Namor is also a personal favorite ! Jerry Ordway's inks really give this a retro feel

Excellent. I see this more as an Ordway piece than anything.

Wow! Inkers who rarely pencil are not usually strong enough to do so, but I give Machlan credit here, he did some fabulous figure work here, especially on Sub-Mariner. But of course, the always brilliant Jerry Ordway is the real start of this piece, and what a special treat to see a very rare Marvel piece from him!

Fabulous pin-up! And yeah, Daredevil is definitely out of his element here, and he has even dropped his billyclub! But that's when heroes really step up --- when the odds are totally against them. Great piece!

Not sure if DD's ever been in more trouble than this - how will he survive?! That's the fun of comic for sure! Great pure illustration of both the characters and the backgroun and the inks are just as great. Congrats!
