Description

A different way to "pass the baton..."

Here's a fun page of Escrima practice between two Batgirls: Barbara Gordon who held the role years before, and Cassandra Cain, who wore the cape and cowl at this time.

Cassandra lets herself respond on simple reflex while distracted by a photograph over Barbara's shoulder, of Barb in the old costume, and so Cass misses something, allowing herself to be unexpectedly disarmed.

It's revealed later in the same issue that Cassandra had only been taught Escrima the week prior, after a mere 5 minutes of instruction. Check out that moment in Johnny McCloskey's gallery here:
