Definitely looks to be drawn and painted with vengeance and passion as the elements are all there for sex and hunting adventure as men's fantasy.

Excellent! This is prime era Popular Library work by Johnson. I love the muted foreground palette, a Johnson calling card at Popular Library, which gives off that dark sense of foreboding, in spite of the well lit background/room interior. Another hallmark of Johnson's work was his method of giving skin that fuzzy, blurry and very textured appearance, which this example has in spades.
