DescriptionAlways loved the Batman Adventures run and the Animated Series.That's still my every-year-christmas-holiday-entertainment. Batman AND Catwoman got cornered and fighting side by side. So good! Batman Adventures #35 is about... On New Year's Day, an unhinged Hugo Strange stumbles through Gotham, now unable to repress the memory of his son's murder. As a result, he hallucinates every passerby to be either David, or David's murderer. Meanwhile, upon realizing his memories have been reset, Catwoman manipulates Batman into being her partner in crime. The pair easily steal a heavily-guarded diamond ring, but while Catwoman is gleeful, Batman is tormented by his conscience. Shortly after, Robin and Commissioner Gordon review security footage of the theft, correctly deduce Batman's situation, and lay a trap for Catwoman at the Uptown Theater. Frustrated with Batman's stubborn high-mindedness, Catwoman goes on a solo crime spree, and quickly falls into Robin's trap. Batman, who had secretly tailed her out of guilt, attacks Robin but calms down when Robin mentions Wayne Manor and Alfred. A disturbed Robin takes his mentor back to the Batcave, informing an equally disturbed Alfred that that Batman - Bruce Wayne - is not just amnesiac, but possessed of the mind of a seven-year-old. This is a wonderful cover by an artist who died far too young. Looking at this gives me the sensation that I'm looking into a box, because the angles at which he drew the walls. It looks like I'm looking at a three dimensional object rather than a two dimensional piece of paper. Having Batman & Catwoman surrounded with their backs up against the wall and the camera shooting the scene from above like that really makes for a spectacular composition. Well done, Vik!

Great action cover! And isn't it fun having those title stats? I love that Batman and Catwoman's shadows don't match their current battle poses. It's like the shadows are from the moment right before the battle started, and now they are watching the action unfold.

The only other animated show that competes with the X-Men cartoon for me is BTAS! It's still increadible to this day and I love that this cover captures the magic of the series! Congrats!

This Cover is pure BTAS magic, thanks for sharing! (The animated series is also my every year Christmas entertainment, I guess you especially like the episode "Christmas with the Joker". Just guessing... 🤡)

The mass of cops, their forward momentum and the confined alleyway create phenomenal tension and energy. A great Parobeck cover!
