Was lucky enough picking this beautiful cover for Detective Comics #1008 up at NYCC 2019 directly from Doug. What a nice guy! And I�m very honored getting the opportunity to meet him and JJ in person.

The art was also used as cover for the hardcover �Batman: Detective Comics Vol.3: Greetings from Gotham�.

Detective Comics #1008 is about�
The Joker returns to Gotham City! The Joker is through working with the Legion of Doom, and he wants to get back to his roots: giving Batman absolute hell! The Clown Prince of Crime comes back with a bang - and he�s not about to take prisoners! As if that weren�t enough, Lex Luthor delivers the cure for Mr. Freeze�s beloved wife, Nora, freeing her from cryo-stasis at last! But something else is very, very wrong with Nora...

Doug Mahnke is your fast pass to the thrill ride of your life. Don't touch that third rail, because a Batman and Joker cover is that formula that puts a smile on your face. The crazy amount of detail will drive a man nuts. Wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts! There's some at the bottom of the ride.

Boy, Joker is sure in his element here! And Batman ... well, he's not so happy. Fantastic cover! Really captures the exact right mood for a Joker cover. So cool that you got to buy it from Doug himself. I met Doug at a Cincinatti Comic Con a number of years ago, and I agree, he is a very nice guy. I kept buying more and more pieces from him, until he said "You must not be married." I said "After today, I won't." Haha!

Exploding roller coasters? On a scale of of 10 being extremely extreme and 1 not being very extreme. I score this a 9.5.
