DescriptionIf you have ever tried to pick up a Paul Smith sketch in his drops you know it is a blood bath! And the X-men pieces are even tougher … so sometimes you have to bite the bullet and buy them second hand… luckily while hanging out at NJ art con a collector I had only known online came up to me to say high in person… chatting with each other he happened to have some stuff for sale/trade … lucky for me Colossus was sitting in his folio and we were able to work something out so I could add this incredible piece to my growing Paul Smith collection!Social/Sharing |

The slender Colossus look is very clean with the shiny chrome details so expertly handled by Smith!

nce pick up. I really liked Paul's run on xmen, this is a more slender/ athletic Colossus but still imposing. glad you found this. It was a right place right time type of purchase, which goes to show you that if you can get to a comic con, do your best because you never know.

Outstanding piece, Jason! Yowza! In my eyes, Paul Smith's Colossus is the true Colossus; I always loved how he drew his face, hair, and eyes, as well as the little plated on his knuckles... :) Sincere congrats on adding such a cool piece to your awesome collection, and thanks for sharing it here!

I'm still trying to catch a drop, but as you said the competition is fierce! A great one here though, now matter the path it took to reach you.
