DescriptionMy #OAX2024 auction win! I wanted this one pretty badly (thank you to a few friends that backed off) . I’ve been looking for a Brereton piece for a while. I’ve always admired his style from afar but couldn’t ever find the right piece. Enter this auction piece. Hits just right… the X-men, nostalgic without being vintage and even though it is a “recreation” it is definitively Dan Brereton. Had a chance to speak to Dan about the piece after and he was very proud of it , found out he was a fan of the 70s X-men , and he spoke about how it is a challenge to redo someone else’s work with out just copying but making it his own. I think he totally nailed it!Social/Sharing |

If Brereton's signature orange color wasn't enough, you got the mean mug crew like they sat on tacks to signal the change in tone for the New X-Men era!

The perfect souvenir. I would love to see Dan Brereton take a crack at these characters in a book, especially nightcrawler.

I really love this. It's the kind of piece you want framed and on your wall for years and years. It becomes a fixture of your house. Amazing pickup, bud!
