Phenomenal DC Large Art! The early silver age Sci-Fi mixed into the superhero genre during these early Hawkman issues bridged the eras of comics together.

While Kubert's style ruled the war titles during the Silver Age, his superhero work is edgier than the usually smooth & clean work in the other titles. It's one of the reasons it stands out.
