Description

After over 25 years of collecting his artwork, I finally got to meet and speak with the Man himself: Jazzy John Romita! Right here we were discussing how he developed the Kangaroo as a villain for Spidey --according to John "the Kangaroo would be Australian and because so would have blonde hair and be able to jump and knock down people". I added that the fur vest was a nice touch, very 60s to which he nodded and laughed. John also told me about his affection for the Sunday Comic Strips and how they inspired him from childhood to want to become an artist! Special thanks to my good pal 'Spider' Mike Burkey

You are very lucky to have met Mister Romita! My favorite artist! I'm going to the exhibition in a month because I come to New York but I wouldn't have the same luck as you ! Thank you Will Gabri to have posted yours pictures. Best from Paris
