An X-Men group portrait by maybe my favorite art team on the series: Paul Smith and Bob Wiacek! Featuring all key members from their run on the book together with Chris Claremont.
Gorgeous finishes by Bob Wiacek over blueline pencils by Paul Smith. Check out the close ups to see some of the lovely inking in more detail.
Bought from Paul Smith's webmaster, JC Washburn, who got this piece a few years ago from Bob Wiacek.
My 2019 art goal was to score a Kitty Pryde piece by Paul Smith. This might even top that, a group shot of all his signature X-Men characters and inked by his original collaborator to boot! Thanks for parting with it JC!

Here we go again. Just to set the record straight; I am the owner and commissioner of the Paul Smith pencils from 2003. I commissioned Bob Wiacek about 8 years ago to ink a blueline which I supplied him. After years of chasing and broken promises he told me a couple of years ago he'd done it but then... it went missing (he said he'd shipped it to me) and so he then eventually inked another blueline. Your piece turned up in another CAF member's gallery earlier this year and he was completely unaware of its origin or the fact that it was a blueline (without pencils) so he told me he was sending it back to the person he'd acquired it from.
