DescriptionIf you don’t know the history on this issue/artwork, you should! It’s crazy. Todd drew the book but was pulled off of it and the entire issue was redrawn by another artist. Then, years later, Todd had achieved massive fame on Spider-Man. To capitalize on this, they made Todd’s art and the same story into GI Joe Special #1, but there’s a catch. They only had stats of Todd’s art, no originals to be found? Mark Nelson was hired to ink over blue line copies, and that is what you see here, but you’d never know unless someone told you. I’ve wanted to get more of these pages, but I let one slip through my fingers on EBay awhile back. If you have one you’re wanting to sell, please let me know!PS I promise I’ll get actual scans of this work at some point, cell phone pics will have to do for now! ;) Social/Sharing |
