Description

Basil Wolverton Foop Goop Frolics "Keller Smeller" Fanzine Illustration Original Art (Glen Bray, 1971). Few comic artists' work is as instantly recognizable as Basil Wolverton's. His comical, sometimes twisted view of life was a refreshing change from the formulas that others have adhered to. Robert Crumb was almost certainly influenced by Wolverton. BW's outrageous and monstrous portraits are regarded by most to be his definitive work. Caption: "Keller Smeller, owner of the world's largest nose, claims that his family will always have a home - unless he sneezes." This piece, which also appeared in the hardcover collection The Original Art of Basil Wolverton.
