Description

It appears that this art was used for both the Splash and the Cover of OOAW 127. The central 4-panel image of this splash is outlined in blue pencil with the note "12 1/2 Glossy" in the lower margin. A glossy stat of this art was then presumably used to make the cover which contains the identical 4 panels and head of Rock from behined now on a black background. Each panel was tinted with a different color on the cover (not the splash) with the cover title logo and a new story title box attached. It is uncommon for cover and splash to share the same art in silver age DC. A cool piece of DC history. Enjoy
