DescriptionSoooooo… I’m not a big commission guy. But leading up to OAX 2025 I decided I was going to do a couple pre cons . Linsner is an artist I’ve always admired.. his Dawn covers always stood out to me when I was younger , even though I didn’t read the books. And his pin up stuff is usually lovely. Also there is not much published X-men related to choose from. So he seemed like a good artist to target. Also the fact that he was working 11x17 which isn’t common was a plus. I looked around and have seen him draw some Phoenixes before.. so I wanted to be a bit different. So my request was Green Phoenix with the bird of flame… and WOW he knocked it out of the park!! I could not be happier with this piece.. to the point where it may be knocking something else off the wall! LolSocial/Sharing |

When Linsner does a voluptuous red head with a rebirth theme, it's going to be his specialty because of the association with Dawn! The shimmering gold and the brightness level of this piece highlights Phoenix's feminine beauty in all the right areas!

Well if there was a piece that made you think "OK, I gotta do more commissions...", this is it! You can tell JML had fun with this one, and this is my fave Jean look. To me, can't beat the contrast of color and texture between the red hair, flat green matte part of the costume, and the sheeny gold. Let alone rendered by JML! Love it, man, big congrats!
