Description

Admittedly late to the game, I've recently become a big fan of Hugo Pratt's work - particularly Corto Maltese. His storytelling and cartooning is top notch. I was excited to pick up this sequential page from his late career work "Morgan" during an exhibition at Galerie 9th Art in Paris. Although I wasn't able to see his work in person, this page stood out for the character work and beautiful setting. His style became cartoonier and looser through the years, but this page is a great example of his economy of line and chunky blacks.

Very cool, a very "Pratt" page. I was also late to the Pratt party but have become thoroughly embedded. I really like the non character panel with the landscape. Great selection and what a way to start a Pratt collection.

Thanks, Jeff! I've really enjoyed talking Pratt and getting more insight from you on his work at the recent shows we've been at together.
