Description

Who throws candelabras into the bay? This chick does.

This is actually a really nice daily by Bald. I've never read the strip, but I know it takes place in NY - yet the background buildings look more like a dock you would see in England or Europe. I love the amount of detail in the strip - the wood of the dock, the buildings (both the houses nearby and the skyline in the distance), and the clouds are all beautifully rendered. I also love the woman's silent consternation in panel two - beautifully captured.

Nooooo! Those are family heirlooms! She could have traded them for Dark Shadows strips by Ken Bald.
