DescriptionI’ve loved Karl Kerschl's work since I first saw it in Gotham Academy and then followed him to Isola. I’ve always been disappointed that he’s primarily a digital artist, so I was extra excited when I saw he was taking commissions.He only had a “recreation” spot available by the time I got there so I knew I had to have this DKRIII cover - one of my favorites ever by Jim Lee & Scott Williams. To me it perfectly captures the relationship between Batman and Carrie. As a grizzled old man, she is his support. Karl did not disappoint! So proud to add this to my collection. The colored picture shows the original cover. I really like how Karl used ink wash to make the background feel complete. Thanks Karl! 11x17 ink and wash on Bristol Social/Sharing |
