Description

I fell in love with Jorge's work when I first saw it in Tom King's Batman run, and I have followed his work ever since. He adds a level of grit and grounding to his work that I really appreciate. I'm so excited to be able to add this commission to my Dark Knight Returns collection. I love how he does not skimp on backgrounds in his commissions, and really puts his characters in their setting. Thanks to the team at Black Diamond for making this happen!

Grit is a good word. His backgrounds always have this 1980s NYC vibe. Congratulations

Batman and Robin fits so well in this environment. Batman representing the old guard with the cape stretching across resembles more of the old building they are on. Meanwhile Carrie stands straight up like the skyscapers still with plenty room to grow. By just looking at the figures alone, the cape says it all with Batman providing safety and guidance with Robin under his wing.

Fantastic commission! The detail and care that Fornes puts into the orders is incredible. I commissioned a Batman Year One from him, which coincidentally he did at the same time as his magnificent commission. Congratulations on this gem!
