DescriptionGiancarlo Alessandrini, Martin Mystere, copertina n°8. China su cartoncino, cm 39x29.Giancarlo Alessandrini was born in Jesi (Ancona, Italia) on the 20th of March 1950. He gets his degree at the Istituto d’Arte in Ancona after being passionate about drawing since he is just a kid. After finishing school in 1972 he gets encouraged by Silvano Marinelli, his fellow citizen, to go to the “Corriere dei Ragazzi” redaction, just born by the changes at the “Corriere dei Piccoli”, since they are looking for new talents. Well welcomed by Aldo Di Gennaro, he debuts by realizing the story of Mino Milani for the “L’inviato nel tempo” series. Will follow the “Anni duemila” series (all ten episodes), “Lord Shark” (the first 12th episodes), and two episodes of “Il Maestro”, all on Milani’s texts, other than various independent stories of different screenwriters. In 1976-1977 he draws, on Alfredo Castelli’s texts, “Eva Kant”’s adventures, “Diabolik”’s partner, for “Cosmopolitan”. He also draws war stories for the English “Fleetway” through “Studio Giolitti” and “La copertina di bambù” gets published in Italia by “Prima Linea” (Dardo, 1975). He also realizes the volume “L’uomo di Chicago” for the Bonelli editor on Castelli’s text in the prestigious “Un Uomo un'avventura” and sic episodes of “Ken Parker” (1977-1980). In 1978 there is a small Mondadori bracket for the headline of “Supergulp!”, he realizes “Allan Quatermain” (Martin Mystère’s precursor), on Castelli’s texts and “Steve Vandam” on Tiziano Sclavi’s screenplay. In 1980-1983 he collaborates with “Il Giornalino” by drawing episodes of "Ai confini dell'avventura" inspired by Folco Quilici’s documentaries, on Sanmauro’s texts, and "Storie di tutti I tempi” screenplay by Renata Gelardini. Other than that he also draws “Rosco & Sonny” on Claudio Nizzi’s texts. In the meanwhile, Castelli redefines the character created for “Supergulp!”, Alessandrini resets the graphic aspect and this is how “Martin Mystère” was born, the detective of the impossible, in April 1982 for the Bonelli. Alessandrini alternates with other authors for the realization of the stories and draws all the covers of the series and the special album. He also collaborates, in the 1990s, with “Zona X”, with the ACME headlines and with “Cronos” (1990, ELI). In 1993 he draws for the French market three adventures of “Indiana Jones” on Claude Moliterni’s texts (editions Bagheera). Always in France, he publishes for the “Albin Michel” “Le Porte del male” on Beretta’s texts. Social/Sharing |
