DescriptionHere is an 11” x 14” painting by Billy Tackett of one of my favorite Cobra vehicles, the H.I.S.S. tank. It seems that this piece was published in his book, “Reel Wheels: An Analysis of Cinematic Cars”.Social/Sharing |

It's a great design that looked more Star Wars than anything based on real military hardware. Done on purpose to show how Cobra and MARS were different than the normal military industrial complex.

Solid painting from a vehicle that brings me a lot of nostalgia.

Yes, the top 3 vehicles that personified Cobra for me in the early years was the H.I.S.S, the Rattler, and the F.A.N.G. The C.L.A.W. and the Trubble Bubble round out the 5...

Love these, and this is one of the best! Got a gritty vibe which kills. I got one, too, but have yet to post. Congrats!

Wow! What a cooi military vehicle that is! It looks light, nimble and deadly. Has anyone shown this to the US Army? I can just imagine a hudnred of those plowing through any enemy lines they faced. Great concept work by Billy Tackett! Clearly he has a good sense of military combat and what it takes to win a war. And if the Army isn't interested, how about the Marines?

I just feel sorry for the personnel who operate this vehicle! The driver only has a plexiglass windshield to protect him and the gunner has nothing! It's almost as if the commander who uses these in is military force doesn't care about his troops!

This was one of my favourite toys. The poor cobras were always outgunned as Joe had a far bigger selection of toys and vehicles but cobra never went down without a fight.

The Joes definitely had more vehicles but Cobra had the cooler ones with the better names!
