Chance Falconer, police detective (early Margo Vela(?), assistant headmistress Miss Longfellow, pirate ghost Cap'n Hitch

Quince (the Falconer's cook), Kay (Chance's friend), Miles Belloc ,reporter Will Bendix

My favorite Paul Smith project is the supernatural comic Leave It to Chance with writer James Robinson. I bought all the original issues and the book collections. Image produced 3 very handsome hardcovers which compare favorably with European albums:

Leave it to Chance Book Three: Monster Madness

Chance wants to assume her family's role as supernatural protector of the city of Devil's Echo, however, her father Lucas expects a future grandson will take over his position. I think this must be an early model sheet as the police character wears plainclothes and has a different hairstyle than the uniformed Margo Vela who appears throughout the series. Quince and Will Bendix have recurring roles, too. Kay is introduced in issue #6. Miss Longfellow and Cap'n Hitch appeared in issues #6 and 7. I don't recognize the seventh character. I've met Paul before and gotten sketches, but am very happy to have this model sheet which he donated to help pay the medical bills of a comic shop owner.

One of my all time favorite series. I always enjoy going back and look at the collected volumes. You can see Paul's love for all of these characters. What a special piece of art! Congrats!
