ZACK MOSLEY - Smilin' Jack Daily Comic Strip Original Art - 1939
Smilin' Jack was a heroic aviator who embodied many traits of his creator (including a droll, sardonic grin). Two panels contain a recurring visual gag: Fat Stuff's shirt keeps popping its buttons!

Smilin 'Jack era un eroico aviatore che incarnava molti tratti del suo creatore (tra cui il sorriso buffo e sardonico). Due pannelli contengono una gag ricorrente: la camicia di Fat Stuff che continua a perdere i suoi bottoni!
In Italia fu pubblicato sul giornale La Risata (1935) col nome "L'Allegro Jack"

Bella strip! Mi piace molto lo stile dell'autore, estremamente moderno per l'epoca, che per certi aspetti mi ricorda i suoi contemporanei Capp e Sagendorf. Nel protagonista vedo anche una vaga somiglianza con il grande Errol Flynn
