DescriptionWhen dreams come true...Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 #36, page 7 (May, 1966) which was written and inked by the Iconic Steve Ditko, from the always classic story entitled: "When the meteor falls". In this HISTORICAL FIRST VILLAGE APPEARANCE, a strange meteor gives Norton Fester incredible strength and agility. He uses these new powers to become "The Plunderer". In the 1970s, he changes his name to... "Meteor Man"! The Looter is shown in many great scenes and his disguise and super strength powers are very similar to those of "The Amazing Spider-Man", without the web shooters and the abilities to crawl through walls! This great page shows the looter jumping into a bank and robbing it while jumping over cars and buildings, culminating in a BIG extension at the bottom showing a HUGE picture of Spidey's new super villain and all his recent robbery escapades! STEVE DITKO's artwork "Amazing Spiderman" is the most sought after... ...and most valuable work of art to own in our ALL HOBBY.... Even the character pages are in high demand in the first 100 issues of ASM, because the stories of the soap operas with Peter Parker, Aunt May, Gwen and MJ, as well as the great villains that Spidey fought, were as memorable and appreciated by fans as the pages of the battle of Spider-Man! This page doesn't feature Spider-Man, but anyone who sees it knows it's 100% pure Ditko. ****** Highlighted on 4/11/2024 Owner THIEFAR art Paid Member In this featured page the Looter makes his very first appearance in an action filled piece of Silver Age history. Like many villains in Spider-Man's rogues gallery, the Looter walked away from a humble life of science for the thrills and fortune of grand felonies. His costume, as designed by co-creator Steve Ditko, is a fairly clear, two tone design that is threatening but practical. He also uses a Dazzle Gun which emits bright light to startle and confuse witnesses as he makes his escape. After discovering a meteor which crashed to earth, Norton Fester's search for investors to research its qualities was rebuffed. But while chiseling into its core he discovered a mysterious compound which granted him enhanced strength and agility for a limited period of time. Which he employed to further his efforts by pulling heists and robbing bank trucks. It all goes to show that in order to keep scientists from becoming supervillains and taking to the streets, we as a country need to better fund academia and STEM projects. Social/Sharing |

Wow! A Steve Ditko Amazing Spider-Man page! Has there ever been a better Spider-Man artist than Ditko? I think not. And this is a fabulous page that shows off Ditko's enormous talent!

¿Que tal estás? Paginón. Como dices, no aparece Spiderman pero es un Ditko 100% y ni más ni menos de la colección The Amazing Spider-man. Preciosa.
