DescriptionThis is what you might call a squirrel. A piece of art that appears out of nowhere that is not on any of your collecting lists or even in the back of your mind.. but when you see it... It just really gets your attention.Aliens is one of those comics that I really loved artistically back in the day. Starting with the works of Mark Nelson, Dennis Beauvais, Dave Dorman and of course John Bolton. Considering how unplanned this acquisition was.. it's amazing that I picked up 2 covers from this run (deciding is so hard). Please check out the other cover and leave a comment or two. As always.. thanks for checking out my gallery PS..if you want one like this.. talk to Marc Mokken at http://artofcomics.net/. Social/Sharing |

More straight up and down than the other but the Queen is so cool here.

This cover as well as the other one are both amazing. I've always appreciated John Bolton's work. Congrats on getting your squirrels. :)

When you don't know which one to get, get BOTH! That's always been my philosophy. And man, you got yourself two beauties. I could get lost in the blue background of this one. And what a perfectly ominous image to go with those backgrounds.

I hope to never sit beside you watching an Alien film as you squeal out,"Look out Ripley! Theres another squirrel!" I will mutter about your eyesight being damaged by years of squinting in sun baked barbarian realms. Boltons not bad, is he?

Hard to call a powerful Bolton cover like this a squirrel!

This is really quite wonderful. I especially love the lighting on the woman. This was one of his last projects before deciding to experiment with that Bisley infused style, which I didn't enjoy nearly as much. Great catch!

Nails the Giger look and has the classic monster over a woman in peril. The glow from the vanishing point is great, giving this a tunnel corridor feel.

My fav of the two. The purple hues are perfect for Alien and adds to the dangerosity of the atmosphere.
(and I saying this, not being particularly fond of painted art nor of Bolton).

Dark Horse crushed it in the early nineties with their takes on Alien and Predator storylines. Killer cover. Love the eerie blues emanating from behind that monstrosity!

Love the lighting effect, combined with all those hues of blue and purple. And of course the super menacing xenomorph :) Congrats, Duke!

This is the definition of an amazing squirrel. It definitely grabs you and is simply spectacular. Congrats on an amazing pickup!
