DescriptionIn celebration of today's release of Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer, and the first on screen appearance of Galactus (even if it was just the back of his head), I thought it would be cool to post this beautiful Arthur Adams Galactus head illustration. I love the interplay of light and shadow on Galan's face as the light emanating from his chest plate glows outwards. A less sinister, almost life-giver like interpretation of the Devourer of Worlds. And oh the Kirby crackle!Social/Sharing |

No more clouds to obscure our view. Galactus now appers in crystal sharpness of Arthur Adam's linework! All the world devouring power on full high definition view! Even with all this visual glory, it is judgement day... the end of times!

Hopefully he looks as good in the movie as Art's depiction but that's a tall order. This is a beauty!

Beautiful drawing! Has a similar magical space feel to it as a Robert McCall painting

IMHO, no one can create artwork as unique and special as Arthur Adams. His ability to take characters we all know and breathe new life into them is legendary. Take this illustration of Galactus for example. It is both stunning and mind-blowing. You can just feel the power of Galactus from this mere black and white drawing. I look at this illustration and althought I have seen hundreds of drawings of Galactus, I've never seen one quite like this. That's the genius of Arthur Adams. What a mind-blowing work of art--Art Adams, that is.
