Description

(Addendum: Pulp god Doug Ellis is pretty sure this is by Herman Vestal, known in our field primarily for extensive work for Planet Stories. I just did a long trawl through the Planets digitized on the Internet Archive and couldn't find the piece, but having now seen a lot of Vestal's art I can say the attribution seems highly plausible.)

Forgot I had this for awhile. Purchased way back in the Bronze Age of eBay. It came without info and there's nothing pertinent on the board.

It obviously has some years on it, physically and stylistically; my gut says 1955-60, but that's just a guess.

I think it looks a little crude at first glance but there's a lot of pretty impressive ink work going on. Maybe a later Morey? Suggestions welcomed!
