DescriptionApocalypse ranks as one of the top 3 x villians in my opinion. From Age of Apocalypse, and multiple arcs, he has played an intricate role in X history since the 1980s. It is rare that he is featured on a solo cover. So when I saw the fine details Leinil did on this cover, I was glad to add it to the collection. Also used as the cover forMarvel's Mightiest Heroes Graphic Novel Hachette Partworks 2nd Series Social/Sharing |

Oooh, I was looking at this for a bit myself! Apocalypse is such a great design and Yu definitley did him RIGHT in this cover! A scary image (in a good way!) and really like the use of darks as well as the detail on the face! Congrats!

Thanks K!! I have been looking for Apocalypse solo cover capturing his fearsome nature. The Olivetti Cable Apocalypse was another great one, but was done digitally unfortunately. Satisfied with this one

Damn, I'm scared just looking at him. Gives me that feeling like when I saw Yu's Thunderbolts #110 for the first time. Love it!

I'm stymied as to how I haven't commented on this yet, JN...! It is always -such- a treat to see Leinil ink his own stuff; his densely-packed thin lines counterpointed by the thick and heavy blacks in the backgrounds of some pieces like this leave a lasting impact on the viewer. His covers contributed a fantastic, indelible, unifying element to Hickman's X-Men run, and that air of authenticity and tone spills over (in a positive way) to other titles whose editors are clever enough to call on Leinil. :) Superb piece, JN! Congrats on the great pick up!
