DescriptionI've been looking for a published Opena piece ever since his run on Uncanny Xforce which got me back into reading comics in 2010 after a prolonged hiatus. I consider Jerome's and Remender's run a modern masterpiece (and maybe my second wave of nostalgia since its already been 14 years!).I had a chance to talk with Jerome at Baltimore comiccon this year and unfortunately the UNCANNY XFORCE art was NFS. It was cool because I had an UNCANNY Xforce t-shirt on and Jerome was a big fan of the shirt and wanted to know where to buy one. I learned his favorite character is nightcrawler. He recently did a short story in the landmark xmen 700 issue with Wolverine and Deadpool throwing down with Apocalypse and Nightcrawler coming to the rescue teleporting En Sabah Nur's eyes away. Man, 14 years since that run...I guess the expression "time flies" does exist for a reason! Great battle page, man. Whenever you pair up Apoc with Opena, I'm in! Congrats!

I was minding my business until Uncanny Xforce and the new 52 Court of Owls dragged me back into comics in 2010/2011, then cgc, then sketches, then OA, then game over...time does fly

Such a great looking action packed page. I saw some of these at SDCC and was very tempted. Congrats and great to see it on the site here. Cheers!

Thanks James. Loved all 5 pages and the action sequences. Kurt pulling off a MK fatality was sweet.
Also don't see Wolverine and Apocalypse thrown down too much...think wayyy back to Mignola's Jungle Adventure, so had to get a page

Whoolf!! Opens showing us all why he's a cut above! Through the cheek?!? Dude, that's hardcore... although given the three blighters involved here, the chances of punches being pulled are -not- high... Really stellar, visceral work by Jerome; great pick up, JN!

Thanks J. Really loved his portrayal of Wolverine and Deadpool in the uncanny run. Fast forward 14 years later happy to pick up Opena art featuring the duo squaring off against the En Sabah Nur we love rather than Genesis

Agreed man! But after talking to him...I realize him and Paolo are two of the most talented artist but they both admit to working at a slower pace than their contemporaries

Fabulous X-Men page from the amazing Jerome Opena. But my question is: Who doesn't die when they get stabbed in the brain by the sharp claws of Wolverine? Okay, Apocalypse groans a little, but how cum he doesn't croak instantly? Superbly drawn page by the incredible Opena shows the big guy can not only take a stab to the brain, but he can shake it off and turn on his attacker big time. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

Wow man!!! A ton of action very well "packed". Fantastic page with these two "trending" fools!!! Just amazing. I can see myself taking a beer in front of the artwork and just enjoying!!! Huge congrats!

I wanted to say "lovely" but then looking at the top panel all you can say is "Holy $h!t" - Jerome is such an amazing artist and getting an X-Men page with Deadpool and Wolvie is just amazing. Well done.
