DescriptionThis piece checks several boxes for me- Nostalgia from one of my favorite Xmen arcs growing up. I remember looking forward to the next polybag issue of this fun mini. While my favorite artists were now at image, I remember being impressed by the art Kubert, Capullo, Peterson and Jae Lee contributed to this arc - A good example of Stryfe, one of my favorite villians - A Jae Lee piece in his vintage, unique style This is an interior page from XFactor 86, but the partial splash of Stryfe was used as the cover to the TPB released in 1994. Also the image used for X-Cutioner's Song on Wikipedia. Only fitting since Stryfe opened up the arc attempting to assassinate Professor X in the guise of Cable - launching an all out battle between Xmen/Xfactor vs Xforce vs Mutant Liberation Front vs Dark Riders Many thanks to Bill for CAF to even allow this piece to be obtained overseas. Thank you AK for the opportunity. Social/Sharing |

Thanks Kavi. This Stryfe image and the cover to Xfactor 86 where Archangel is standing behind Apocalypse brooding have always been my favorite Jae work.

A great page used for so many purposes. Great find and beautiful art. Love Jae Lee's work, he plays with light so well and the designs are so edgy and fantastic. Congrats on this beauty, cheers!

Thanks and agreed. Jae's art back then and even his newer style is polarizing. While it was alot different from Capullo, Peterson and Kubert's work on the arc...I thought his 3 issue run was fantastic.

Jealousy, let me count the ways. #1. Jae Lee X-cutioners Song Cover. #2 to infinity, repeat #1.

Some great work by Jae Lee, but let's also give credit where it's due and say that Milgrom actually inked Jae really well here!

Absolutely stunning page from Jae Lee! Has there ever been a better image of Stryfe? I think not. I love this early Jae Lee work. He really established the whole look and tone of X-Cutioner's Song right here. Terrific inks by Al Milgrom, I might add. Jae Lee and Al Milgrom were not a regular team but their work really shines here. Great pick-up, congrats!

Mine too! Xmen Inferno and Dark Phoenix Saga I read after the events had already passed. This was the x arc that I was picking up issue by issue and waiting for the next one from my lcs. All great talents contributing to the arc

Thanks Tyler. Definitely one of my favorite villians. Wish he was included in more arcs. The Jrjr Blood and metal was decent and Messiah War...but X-Cutioner's song featured Stryfe in all his glory

Hug congrats, man! Standout early '90s image and page from one of your fave arcs featuring a fave character...yup, check check check :) Great setup with the panels along the top, THEN the reveal, but still cool he's partly shadowed. Effective stuff from Lee!

Thanks K...definitely over the moon (like Stryfe) to acquire this piece. He's only been in a limited number of comics compared to his peers, but definitely left his mark

Really great pick up, I love Stryfe and the 90's all over this page. I became a huge Jae Lee fan because of X-Cutioner's Song!
