DescriptionInfinity Ultron was a character introduced in the final two episodes of the What If animated series. In it Ultron successfully took over Vision's body in Avengers 2. Then when Thanos came for the mind stone, Ultron kills him and takes the infinity stones for himself. He soon becomes aware of the Watcher observing him and discovers the multiverse, where he sets out to restore order across parallel universes. There is a sideshow collectible statue, funko pop, and videogame version of this character. Here's hoping to see him more in the future. I asked Ariel to do a painting focusing on Infinity ultron with a defeated Watcher. Also asked him to highlight key moments from each of the main marvel flagship titles to depict the multiverse... Xmen (Age of Apocalypse), Spider-Man (discovery of the black suit), Fantastic Four (coming of Galactus),Avengers (Thanos Infinity Gauntlet). Love Ariel's color work in this Acrylic and oil painted piece. Social/Sharing |

Dude! Great concept but even better artistic execution here by Olivetti! Love the multi image layout surrounding Infinity Ultron at the center. So much colory goodness to pore over, too. Big congrats, my friend!

Thanks K. Agree on Ariel's color work. Sorry for spoilers on the What If series (the last two episodes are a great watch)

Thanks Kavi. Love how Ariel blends both Acrylic and oil in his paintings. He cites Frazetta as his inspiration

I like how he's up ended the "white knight" trope.

Thanks Eranga! AoA was such a nostalgic arc from my childhood..felt a multiverse commission was a great opportunity to include it. Loved how Ariel executed it...might be my favorite quadrant.

Those colors are indeed extraordinary, and I love Infinity Ultron! Great to have those other defining Marvel moments depicted as well, especially when black suit Spidey is involved. Congrats!

Thanks Paul. I was torn between asking for miles Morales to get the ultimate universe involvement, but black suit spidey had more nostalgia for me

It's like the best color wheel ever. I love how each pie piece has its own tonal color palette playing off the imagery. Very clever! And Ariel killed his composition and painting. The all black Spidey where you can make out veins and musculature, that shadowed, perfect Galactus. Sweet commission. Congrats!

Thanks JH. Agreed the maestro Ariel's color work turned out great. The fine details like spideys veins and weapon x and apocalypse's facial bone structure highlights Ariel's fine attention to anatomical detail

Feel my heat
Takin' you higher
Burn with me
Heavens on fire
(Always had my suspicions but this piece confirms it. Watcher closet is filled with destroyer boots and makeup).
