DescriptionBack in 2016 by friend Kris launched KRS Comics, an online San Diego based comics retail store. I was fortunate to be involved in its launch. It was great to learn the retail side of things and collaborating with artists.One of the first of two KRS comics variants was the Tyler Kirkham Deadpool Back in Black Variant. Here is the prelim sketch of 7 ideas for the cover, which we decided to opt with option 5 in homage to Bagley. All of them have a nice inky and gooey feel accomplished through pencil. The split face is giving both their share of the cover while still bringing out the bad boy attitude in each.

You chose ... wisely. (ala Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). It is totally cool to see the prelim process, and all the different cover concepts. Thanks for sharing this.

What a cool array of preliminary cover designs! It's so much fun to see all the different layouts Tyler considered before settling on the one he used. It gives us such an interesting glimpse of the creative process. There's so much energy in each of the prelims, you can almost imagine him sketching out the options! Thanks for sharing!
